Mortimer Zuckerman was recommended to serve as the next chairman of the influential Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Zuckerman, as expected, was selected over two other finalists by the conference’s nominating committee. A confirmation vote by the entire 54- member conference has yet to be scheduled.
