A MASS MEETING OF MUSLIMS HERE ADOPTED A RESOLUTION PROTESTING AGAINST BRITISH PROPOSALS TO PARTITION PALESTINE, APPEALING TO MUSLIMS TO BOYCOTT BRITISH GOODS AND REQUESTING THEIR LEADERS TO INTERVENE IN BEHALF OF THE PALESTINE ARABS.

Meanwhile, the Pandit of Jawahar Nehru declared in a press statement: “The Palestine problem can be solved only in one way–by a direct approach between Arabs and Jews. In saying so I have the support of prominent Arabs and Jews.”
