A request to discontinue the raising of funds for Sholom Schwartzbard’s family was expressed by Mrs. Anna Schwartzbard, in a communication addressed to a number of Jewish organizations.
Mrs. Schwartzbard declared that she had heard that some organizations had started to raise funds for her. “I can work and while I thank you for your good intentions, I must decline to accept any relief,” she wrote.
