Dr. Isaac B. Berkson, New York educator, has been appointed Director of the Board of Education of the Palestine Zionist Executive.
Dr. Berkson, who will have to deal with the difficult position which has been created in the Hebrew school system in Palestine, as a result of the cut made in the Education Budget, has been engaged in Jewish educational work in America since 1911. He acted as Director of the Central Jewish Institute in New York and as Supervisor of the School and Extension activities of the Bureau of Jewish Education in New York, and he has also been lecturer in education at the Jewish Institute of Religion.
