A four-week course of eight sessions, designed to train volunteers for work in medical and social welfare agencies in New York City, got underway today at the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, with more than 100 women attending the first session.
The course, titled “Introduction to Social and Medical Welfare in New York City,” conducted under the auspices of the Women’s Division of Federation, will be addressed by eminent professional and lay authorities in the fields of social welfare, hospitals and child care.
