The Schweidnitz Special Court today sentenced to five years imprisonment, Erich Wagner, a clerk, and to five months imprisonment, a Nazi Deputy Heines, for an attempt to murder the editor of a Socialist paper in Schweidnitz, Gaedke.
Other Nazis on trial for the same charges received shorter sentences.
The court refused to accept the Nazi defense that they did not intend to attack Gaedke, but merely to bomb a synagogue.
