NBA owner Abe Pollin was expected to preside over a Torah dedication in Washington on Thursday. Pollin, the owner of the Washington Wizards, was to have lead the dedication at the historic 6th and I Street Synagogue in Washington. The Torah survived a Nazi operation in 1939 of Vengrav, Poland, near Warsaw.
