(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

New anti-alien raids were ordered by the Hungarian Ministry of the Interior in the Northeastern part of Hungary.

The Jewish population in that region was thrown into a state of panic by this measure as previous experience has shown that in the raids on aliens, native Hungarian Jews were captured and deported. A new official statement issued by the government that the raids have no anti-Semitic tendency was not given any credence.
