The Economic Central Commission, formed by the Committee of Jewish Delegations and Executive of the World Jewish Congress to investigate and report on the economic status of Jews in various countries, held its first meeting under the chairmanship of I. Yefroikin.

Its present slate, which will be augmented later, consists of Professor Georg Bernhard, Robert Bollack, Dr. Bruzkus, Mr. Yefroikin, Professor B. Eliasheff, Dr. Goldberg, A. Kahan, Dr. Leites, J. Koralnik, Professor Alexander Michelson, A. Menes, I. Naiditch, A. Rosin (Ben Nadir) and E. Tcherichover.

By way of correcting misapprehensions concerning the aims of the Central Commission, the Committee of Jewish Delegations explained that the group will prepare proposals for the forthcoming World Jewish Congress, but will not participate as a body in actual relief work.

Neither the Committee nor the Central Commission intends to influence the activities of organizaciology at the Paedagogische Institigated, it was stated, but attempts will be made to bring about cooperation whenever possible.
