A resolution pledging “all-out support” of the New England Zionist Region’s membership to “President Truman in the present emergency” was adopted here this week-end at the annual mid-winter roll call of the New England region, Another resolution reaffirmed the membership’s “devotion to the Zionist movement and the state of Israel.”
Dr. Israel Goldstein, chairman of the World Confederation of General Zionists, the featured speaker at the meeting, spoke of the “overshadowing tension in the world today and the threat of a new world war affecting a million Jews living in Moslem lands and large numbers in other lands where dictatorships and the time of tension is particularly hard on minority groups.”
