Dr. Isador Lubin was confirmed as Industrial Commissioner of New York State last night by the State Senate by a vote of 51-7. Dr. Lubin, whose appointment by Gov. Averill Harriman had become one storm center of the public dispute between the Republican-controlled legislature and the Democratic Governor, had served as special expert for the War Industries Board during World War II and later as an advisor to various Congressional committees.
