The Jerusalem municipality is trying to find a way to crack down on movie posters showing nude figures. Acting at the request of Deputy Mayor Moshe Porush, of the Orthodox Agudat Israel faction, it has asked Interior Minister Moshe Shapiro for legal guidance in the matter. Under present law the municipality cannot prevent movie theater owners from posting from films that have been passed for screening by the Government-appointed film censorship board.
