The fact that Dr. Max Nordau, famous author and Zionist leader, wrote in Yiddish, came to light recently when Ben-Zion Yudkovichi, Zionist worker of Paris, presented a number of documents relating to the early Zionist movement in Paris to the Hebrew University in Palestine. Among these documents were a group of letters written in Yiddish by Dr. Nordau.

A number of Dr. Nordau’s works have been translated into Yiddish, but that he ever himself wrote in the language has not been generally known.
