Special prayers were recited here today for Israeli soldiers and for the people of Israel at dedicatory services for the rebuilt synagogue near the Weissensee Cemetery, the largest Jewish cemetery in Berlin. The synagogue was burned down during the November, 1938, pogroms in Germany.
An 83-year-old former inmate of the Theresienstadt concentration camp, M. Horowitz, resumed his old post of warden in the synagogue. Seigmund Weltlinger, a member of the Church Advisory Council of Great Britain, greeted the congregation in behalf of the municipal administration.
