Insofar as they affect German blood and German honor, the Nuremberg laws will apply against Jews of foreign citizenship, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today in connection with the case of Rudolf Selz, British Jew who was arrested in Munich on charges of “rassenschande” (racial defilement), released upon protests by the British Embassy and immediately rearrested yesterday.
Selz, it was learned here, will be deported as an undesirable alien. The “rassenschande” charges will be dropped because the German Government is unwilling to create an incident involving Great Britain particularly since details of the law have not yet been promulgated and its legal status has not been clearly defined.
