O. Falk, a merchant of this city, was honored by appointment to the Governor’s personal staff. This information was issued from the office of Governor-elect Doyle E. Carlton. Mr. Falk was the only Jew among the sixteen appointed. The appointment carries with it the official rank of Lieut.-Colonel in the National Guard.

Mr. Falk is prominent in Jewish activities in this city being the president of the local lodge of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith and chairman of the Board of Directors of Temple Schaarai Zedek.
