Olympic Committee Refused to Ask Hitler for Amnesty

The International Olympic Committee rejected a proposal by the Archbishop of York prior to the Olympic games to appeal to Chancellor Hitler to follow a precedent of the ancient Olympiade and proclaim a general amnesty “for all those suffering imprisonment for racial or religious reasons,” it is disclosed in the British Ski Yearbook, published today.
