The McGraw-Hill Book Co. and the Herzl Press will jointly publish a single volume, one-million word “Encyclopedia of Zionism and Israel,” it was announced here by Dr. Emanuel Neumann, president of the Theodor Herzl Foundation and a member of the Jewish Agency Executive. Dr. Neumann said that the volume, to appear next year, will relate the 100-year-old history of Zionism and the achievements of Israel in its 20 years of statehood.
Dr. Raphael Pati, scholar and author, will be editor. The more than 250 contributors, headed by Zalman Shazar, President of Israel, will include scholars and statesmen from 25 countries.
