One of Israel’s chief rabbis inaugurated a new synagogue in Budapest. Thesynagogue inaugurated Jan. 20 by Yona Metzger is the first to be built inBudapest after the war. The new synagogue was opened for the Status Quo Antemovement, analogous to the Conservative movement in North America.
