Salomon Adatto, the only Jewish member of the Turkish Parliament, has been elected chairman of the Parliamentary Labor Committee. An outstanding member of the Democratic Party, Mr. Adatto is considered one of the foremost specialists on social and labor questions in Turkey. It is the first time that a Jewish deputy has been elected to such a post.
