A social hour will follow. The affair will take place at the Jewish Club, Park Royal Hotel, 23 West Seventy-third street.

Many tables have been reserved for a tea and bridge which the women’s auxiliary of Congregation Emanu-El will give on February 4 at the Hotel Plaza for the benefit of its charitable activities, which include a workroom for unemployed women.

Mrs. Edward B. Schulkind is chairman of the event, and she is assisted by a committee including Miss Venie Sinsheimer, Mrs. Simon Frankel, Mrs. Sidney H. Herman, Mrs. Milton M. Goldsmith, Miss Elizabeth Baum, Mrs. Samuel D. Levy, Mrs. Lester Oppenheimer, Mrs. Leopold Plaut, Mrs. Victor Polstein, Mrs. Isaac S. Sanger, Mrs. Arthur Seligman, Mrs. Lawrence Ruckeyser and Miss Eleanor Sinsheimer.

Mrs. David Goldstein, co-chairman of the Rockaway district committee of the Queens Citizen. Welfare Campaign, announced that the Rockaway has exceeded the $7,500 quota set for the community.

A concert will be given on the night of February 5 at the Metropolitan Opera House for the benefit of American Jewish Congress House recreational center and temporary shelter for refugees from Germany. Soloists will be Miss Rosa Ponselle and Nino Martini of the Metropolitan Opera.

The concert has been arranged by members of the Manhattan chapter of the women’s division of the American Jewish Congress, of which Mrs. Jacob M. Rose is chairman.
