Rabbi Eleazer Silver of this city, president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, announced tonight that he had called for a day of prayer attendant upon the recent suspension by Great Britain of immigration in Palestine.
He will notify the union by proclamation to set aside Monday for special prayers, at home and in Orthodox synagogues.
