Palestine to Acquire the Works of National Artists

The Palestine Government will acquire from time to time works of Palestine artists, to remain the property of the nation, it was decided at the suggestion of Lord Plumer, the High Commissioner.

From the exhibits at the Jewish Art Show now being held at the Citadel, a painting was selected to be purchased out of a special fund to be raised in large part from private subscriptions. The picture selected is “The Family,” by Mr. Rubin of Tel Aviv. The commission which made the selection consisted of Mr. Harrison, Mrs. MacDonnell, and Mr. Van Vriesland.
