Urging increased efforts to utilize all skilled and unskilled labor in Palestine and to exploit all unused production facilities, the Davar, largest daily newspaper in the country, today estimated that Palestinian industry will produce about $10,000,000 worth of goods during the current year.
In an editorial commenting on the recently concluded United Kingdom Commercial Corporation’s conference here, the Davar stated that Palestine is far from an industrially exhausted country and still has vast reserves of experts and skilled man power. War necessities require the full use of all potentialities, as well as increase in the delivery of raw materials, the article points out.
The importance which Britain attaches to Palestine industry was stressed last week at the United Kingdom Corporation’s conference of delegates from all the Near Eastern countries.
