Warning that the German-American Bund was a “dangerous conspiracy which one day might result in internal disorders, sabotage” and other incidents characteristic of the downfall of Austria and Czecho-Slovakia, was sounded today by West-brook Pegler in his nationally syndicated column “Fair Enough,” published here by the New York Wrold-Telegram.

Citing the damage wrought by similar organizations of Nazis in Austria, Czecho-Slovakia and Poland, Pegler concluded: “The anti-American Bund is precisely the same kind of organization in this country, and the sooner the Americans decide that their democratic tolerance does not run for traitors and treason the less damage the Bund will be able to report to Hitler.”

At the same time, Liberty Magazine published an article by an anonymous investigator who described his own experiences as a Bund member and revealed that he had been given machine gun and rifle training in a Bund camp and had helped smuggle Nazi secret agents into and out of the country. The investigator said that Fritz Kuhn, Bund leader, was only a front for a “man higher up,” who lives in the United States but is the direct representative of the Berlin Government.
