Mayor Bernard Samuel today issued a proclamation declaring Wednesday, December 5th, as Hebrew University Day throughout the City of Philadelphia. Culmination of the community-wide celebration will come with the arrival of Abba Eban, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, to deliver the first in an annual series of lectures on the Hebrew University to be conducted under the auspices of the Philadelphia chapter of the American Friends of the University.
