According to reports from Poale Zion circles in Dublin, searches and arrests have been carried out at the homes of over thirty Polish and Jewish workers, most of them Executive members of Trades Unions and Workmen’s cooperatives. The prisoners were confined in the local fortress S###. In no case was anything suspicious found in their possession. Later, eleven of them, all Jews, including several members of the Borochow Club, were removed in motor lorries under strong police escort, to the fortress of Luzk. Two days later the Jewish workers, together with thirty members of the pogromists bands of Bulak Balachowitch were transferred to Brest Litovsk.
In the prison of Brest Litovsk, the Jewish workers despite their protests, were placed together with the Balachowitch bands, in front of whom the police denounced the Jews as Bolshevists.
