Justice was meted out to one of the fierce pogrom leaders in White Russia by a decision of the District Court of Minsk.
The court imposed a sentence of eight years at hard labor on Popov, one of the closest collaborators of General Balachovitch who was responsible for a series of anti-Jewish pogroms in White Russia in 1920. Popov was the instigator of a series of pogroms in the district of Pskov.
