The anti-Jewish disturbances and agitation in the Homel district are causing a vast increase in the number of Jewish emigrants, most of whom are bound either for Palestine or America.

The immigration restrictions to America is diverting a great portion of immigrants to Palestine. More than 800 Jews whose ultimate objectives were the U.S. or Palestine left Homel during the two weeks preceeding the Passover Festival.
