Poland Will Not Prohibit Schechita, Rabbis Told

The Minister of Education today received a Jewish delegation consisting of rabbis whom he assured that there is no danger that the slaughter of animals according to the Jewish ritual will be prohibited in Poland.

Intensive propaganda against schechita has been carried on in Poland during the last few weeks even in the official government organ, Gazeta Polska, provoking the fear among Jewish orthodox leaders that the government is contemplating the prohibition of schechita.
