Police are investigating a new attempt to set fire to the home of Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren. Unidentified arsonists ignited a bundle of gasoline-soaked clothes Sunday evening at the rabbi’s home. The blaze was put out by neighbors. Rabbi Goren and his family were not at home at the time. A similar arson attempt occurred several months ago.
