Police in Uzbekistan arrested a man suspected of killing a Jewish family there. The 27-year-old man, whose name police have not released, has reportedly confessed to the June 15 robbery and killing of Karina Loifer and her mother, Svetlana.
A Russian man who earlier this year stormed into a synagogue and attempted to attack worshippers was found mentally unfit to stand trial. A court in Rostov-on-Don ruled on June 9 that Vadim Domnitsky should undergo psychiatric treatment.
