Polish Government Sends Protest to Russia on Execution of Alter and Erlich

The Polish Government today sent a note to the government of Soviet Russia protesting the execution of the two Polish-Jewish labor leaders, Victor Alter and Henryk Erlich.

A memorial meeting for the two executed Jewish Socialist leaders will be held in London the end of this month, arranged jointly by the Polish Socialist Party and by Jewish Socialists who escaped from Poland, it was announced here today. Speakers at the meeting will include representatives from the British Labor Party, the Socialist International and the Trade Unions’ International, the announcement said.
