Renewed assurances that Jews in a post-war Poland will receive equality were voiced today by Count Romer, Premier Sikorski’s representative, at a meeting marking Polish independence day, held today under the auspices of the Council of Polish Jews.
A similar declaration was made by Dr. Ludwig Grossfeld, Jewish Acting Minister of Social Welfare. Both speakers also paid tribute to the late Dr. Herman Liebermann, former Jewish Minister of Justice in the Polish cabinet. Other speakers were Oliver Locker-Lampson, pro-Zionist M.P., Sir Robert Young, M.P., and several officials representing the Polish embassy.
