Isaac Pagura and Lasaz Lass, two Jewish passengers in an omnibus proceeding from Sokolow to Wegrow, were shot dead by bullets alleged to have been fired by a Polish captain and his four soldiers.
The omnibus contained only Jewish passengers and the escape of the rest of them from the salvo which was fired four times is considered remarkable.
No grounds are known for the shooting. A police record of the tragedy has been made but the soldiers, although identified, are still at large.
Pagura leaves a wife and six children. The Jews of Wegrow are calling a meeting today to protest the murder of the two
