Pope Paul Vi Receives B’nai B’rith President; Discuss Human Rights

Pope Paul VI today received two B’nai B’rith leaders in a private audience for a 20-minute discussion of efforts by the United Nations and the Catholic Church to promote human rights and religious liberty. The delegation included B’nai B’rith president William A. Wexler and Saul Joftes, secretary-general of the organization’s International Council. The B’nai B’rith leaders will fly to Spain tomorrow for a meeting with Generalissimo Francisco Franco, in Madrid.
