The Jewish War Veterans last night presented ### highest award–the Meritorious Service Medal–to Gen. Omar N. Bradley, Army chief staff, at a $100-plate Waldorf-Astoria dinner marking the 54th anniversary of the ###nding of the organization. The presentation was made by Honry Morgenthau Jr., ####eral chairman of the United Jewish Appeal.Other J.W.V. awards were presented to Israeli Premier David Ben Gurion for ##alf of the armed forces and disabled war veterans. Israeli Ambassador to the United Stated Kliahu Elath accepted the award in behalf of Ben Gurion. Controller ##arus Joseph of this city presided.

In a message to t? the dinner, President Truman lauded the Jewish War Veter for having “worked continuously to promote the highest type of citizenship among ##l Americans.”
