Bush still believes a negotiated solution through the U.S.-led “road map” is the likeliest way forward toward peace, White House spokesman Scott Mclellan said last Friday, but the administration is intrigued by Israeli Prime Minister Sharon’s proposal to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank.
