Prize Offered for More Humane Killing Method Than Shechita

A prise has been offered by the Board of Jewish Deputies for anyone proposing a more humane method of killing animals than the Jewish Shechita. This step was taken in connection with the propaganda being carried on at the present time by certain influential groups in England, under the leadership of Lady Hamilton, on the pretense of “preventing cruelty to animals.”

Letters were read at the meeting of the Board of Jewish Deputies, held here yesterday, proving that this movement has an anti-Semitic background. “This movement means to bring about the prohibition of the Shechita in England,” was the statement made at the meeting by Lord Rothschild.
