The government commission investigating the recent fire in Borscha, which left several thousand Jews homeless, estimates the damages at 25,000,000 lei, which the government will have to pay if the commission establishes that the fire was not an accident but a well-planned anti-Semitic act.
Officials of the commission today explained to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the distribution of the damage fund will be made with the cooperation of the Jewish members of Parliament.
