Prof. Peter Stolarsky, famous Jewish musician and head of a music school built in his honor in Odesea by the Soviet Government, has die in Sverdlovek, the Moscow press reported today. He was 73 years old.
Prof. Stolarsky who had been awarded the Order of the Red Banner and who also had the title “People’s Artist” bestowed upon him by the Ukrainian Government, was prominent in Russia and abroad. His pupils won the highest awards at the international musical competition held in Brussels in 1937.
