Rabbi David Lefkowitz, president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, today named a special committee of rabbis to represent the Conference at the extraordinary conference of national and central Jewish organizations called by the American Jewish Congress for New York tomorrow night to lay plans for a national protest against religious persecution in Russia.
The committee consists of Rabbi Jonah Wise of New York, Rabbi Abram Simon of Washington and Rabbi Louis Wolsey of Philadelphia. Dr. Lefkowitz himself cannot attend.
