Since the bill creating a separate Jewish school commission for the island of Montreal is still before the provincial legislature, Premier L. A. Taschereau of Quebec, has declined the Jewish Telegraphic Agency’s request for a statement on the bill. He does not wish to say anything about it until it has been passed.
