A question concerning the recent murders in Palestine was asked in the House of Commons today. In reply, Colonial Minister Thomas stated that he had received official information from Sir Herbert Samuel, the High Commissioner in Palestine, covering the full situation. According to Sir Herbert Samuel’s report, two Jews were shot on Purim, and while the police were investigating the crime, three Arabs were shot. One Jew and one Arab died of their wounds. Minister Thomas further stated that there is no disorder now in Palestine; the crimes having caused only a small excitement. The situation is normal and public opinion among the Jews and the Arabs is united in condemning these outbreaks. Several arrests have been made.
