Rabbi Shlomo Goren, Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, arrived in New York late yesterday afternoon. Rabbi Goren, who for 24 years was the Chief Rabbi of the Israeli Defense Forces, will address the Jerusalem Festival celebration in Walt Whitman Hall, Brooklyn College, tomorrow afternoon. The festival, which will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the liberation of Jerusalem, is being sponsored by the American Zionist Youth Foundation in cooperation with religious youth organizations. Students from the city’s yeshivas, high schools and colleges are expected to attend. Rabbi Goren will be honored at a reception to be held Wednesday by the Rabbinical Council of America.
