Rabbi Max Schenk has been named spiritual leader of the Washington Heights Jewish Center, at 178th Street and Fort Washington Avenue, it was announced yesterday by the congregation. Rabbi Schenk is a native of New York and was educated at the Jewish Institute of Religion and the College of the City of New York. He has also done graduate work at the University of Chicago, Columbia University and the University of Iowa.
