Rabbi Jacob Weinstein, president of the Central Conference of American rabbis, left here last night for Saigon along with a group of eight Protestant and Catholic clergymen who will meet with various Vietnamese religious and cultural leaders in an attempt to ease the military activity there. The group’s visit is sponsored by the Fellowship of Reconciliation, a religious-pacifist organization which has appealed to President Johnson to stop the bombings of North Viet Nam.
