Radical Leader to Head Polish Cabinet

December 17, 1923
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

M. Thugut, leader of the Left Peasant Party has been requested by President Wojciechowski to form a new cabinet following the fall of the Witjos cabinet.

The President conferred Sunday with leaders of all parties with regard to the formation of the new cabinet. The representatives of the Jewish bloc, however, were not consulted.

Acceptance of the Premiership by M. Thugut may mean the rejection of the demand by the readtionary parties for a “pure Polish majority”.
