An interesting Hebrew exhibit is now on display at McGill University. where a complete manuscript of the five Books of Moses in the original Hebrew, is being shown in the special exhibition of Hebrew manuscripts arranged in the Redpath Library of the University.
Writter on a scroll of goatskin 19 lines to a column the roll is 20 inches wide by 93 2-3 feet long. It was written in Bagdad about 16 A.D. The scroll was presented to McGill University through the Maccabean Cirde by a number of leading Montreal Jews. The exhibit also includes a roll of the Book of Esther written in the eighteenth century and a manuscripe of the Samarican Pentatencit of the nineteenth century.
