Recent Palestinian terror attacks are aimed at straining the U.S.-Israel relationship prior to a possible U.S. strike on Iraq, Ariel Sharon said. In an interview with the Jerusalem Post, the Israeli prime minister said the Palestinians’ “operating assumption is that the closer we come to a U.S. attack in Iraq, the more difficult it will be for Israel to respond to terrorism.”
